I've seen the dead walk. Not zombies, that kind of rabid in-humanity would be a blessing. The dead are people: shuffling, pale people who know that they are dead, and who know that you are the necromancer, somehow beyond the false powers of the other doctors, no matter how many times you tell them there is no hope. They want to live; they want to live so much that even though they know, deep down in the quiet, gnashing places of themselves, that there is no such thing and that none of their friends were ever so lucky even though they prayed and begged and yelled and died first; they have to know that you are the necromancer, that you could gi
