note: this is subject to change, and the webcomic (InFested PostEvangelionism) may not occure in this universe, but none the less, I really like this universe, and will keep with it
(I plotted most of this laying in bed last night.) this universe is wide open, and combines both tech and sci-fi with fantasy and the supernatural while doing it in a gritty, cynical, realistic way. the setting contains elements of cyberpunk, steampunk, gothic punk, and maybe a little noir; as well as storys like Puella Magi, Vampire: the Masquerade, and Evangelion, with a little Nanoha, cthulhutech, and others.
now the juicy bits: what the setting is like.
the story does not take place in the real world. the supernatural exists, is common knowledge, and is subject to scientific research. technology is at more or less an even level with the real world (with things like cars, electric lights, computers, and the internet) with some other goodies like cybernetics, cloning, and genetic engineering (including animal-human hybrids and Uplifts), though common, ubiquitous tech is a little behind (personal computers are huge, cell phones and cars are rarer, there are more power lines, and sanitation is lower). the world is more urban, dank, with sodium lights and grey clouds (there is a good amount of pollution).
the world is also more lawless, with only most of the world controlled by countries, all levels of politic dominated by the influential vampires (who don't really do anything, and consentrate more on relations with their own kind). there are also only small police forces, no urban growth laws, and cities generally consist of an urban center which only vampires are allowed to enter, and the downtowns, industrial sectors, suburbs, and villages that grow around these pieces of the reclusive vampire culture. (for example, London was destroyed in the Napoleonic Wars, and London II, its "mega-suburb" of London 3, and the surrounding towns and villages cover half the island, while London 5 (on the french coast) is even larger.)
the world also has various supernatural powers that can be used, like:
familiars, these are reflections of the user with a certain independance (like persona or mons, this power can eventually create pocket dimensions with force field like "skins"
magic, which requires innate talent AND great intelligence and analytical thinking, and converts energy into Mana, which is then organised into Arrays (which are usually circular, shaped vaguely like circuit boards, and may or not glow or be invisible), or masses of nanostructures (which act like substance, holograms, or matter), and may use tools (like intelligent devices (which channel energy, do math, and help create arrays for mages, as well as act as weapons))
purely learned arts like Demonic Arts (aka witch craft, which relies on incantations, rhetoric, and geases), alchemy (which has similarities to magic, but is more hermetic), and others
the undead, who suffer from an incurable viral disease, like vampires, zombies, werewolves, ghouls, and relevants (the different types being separate diseases). though the different types have different traits, undead in general show some medical symptoms of death (such as vampires not breathing and ghouls not having any cellular metabolism), have freakish regeneration, can manipulate their biology (werewolves can only switch forms, but ghouls can create new limbs or heads), and have attunement to other undead "related to them" (zombies can control severed limbs and vampires can commune with their sires and control their thrulls (who interestingly have two free wills)), and become stronger, faster and sometimes more intelligent. undead can be sentient or feral, human or animal.
and others (like specials (who are stronger, smarter, and just better) and abnormals (who have one supernatural ability or trait from birth)). however, there are no supernatural creatures like dragons or phoenix (except the artificial ones) or other intelligent races.
I will probably post more to detail specific topics. (that was big, eh?)

[Serious] So i live in America
As most of you probably now know, a man who said "Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything ... [w]hen you’re a star, they let you do it," is going to be arguably the most powerful person in the world. America elected him as their next president fair and square.
I live in America. Granted, i live in a blue city in a blue state on the west coast, but i still have Trumpaloes living literally right next door.
im less afraid of what Trump will do, but what Trumpaloes, whether they hold US governmental positions or not, will do. American government is designed so that i have a president, not a king or a fuhrer. Just because Trump is prez
