i would like to address the luddites of the world, (and everyone else, too…)
i continue to observe a major undercurrent in the world, and wish to respond (because i just can't take it anymore).

let me elaborate. people want to not have jobs shipped over seas. people don't like globalization. they feel that the internet homogenizes culture. they think you can't control your identity on the internet. they think that calculators hurt your ability to do math, and that spell check makes you spell badd.

well, i think those people are luddites. they don't like change. they hate progress. it may sound harsh and inhuman, but get with the program. if you think the world is inhuman, think again. the world is humanity, not the other way around; its not that we now rely of evil prosthetic knowledge, but that we expand beyond our "bodies" as they are called (ever heard of books?). and the best part is that it is inhuman, in the sense that we are no longer four feet tall (on average…), live only into our thirties, malnourished, or in trees. we are minds. and now we are minds that can communicate at the speed of electricity, rather than electrochemical reactions.

and frankly, the old things were useful at the time. but in the now, tariffs suck. nationalism sucks, wars suck. sexual repression sucks. age sucks (whether small are large). the fact that technology evolves infinity faster than biology evolves sucks, because it creates all human problems.

and come to think of it, the fact that we have yet to find god sucks. but you know what? we are god. again, we are gods, beings capable of expanding our capacity, and thus are capable of everything. us, not the "humans" of yesterday, us: in all our change, our beauty, our cruelty, our reality.

luddites are people afraid of being selected out, but to scared to selecting themselves. luddites are people afraid of being left behind, but don't think they can get out of their chairs. luddites are crybabies who don't even think to actually solve their own problems.
i hope that in millions of years that "people" will be one with the universe and each other, while they keep luddites as pets. (and the luddites won't even know or be capable of knowing it)

i don't advocate globalization, or atheism, or equality, or joblessness, or communism, or anarchism.

i simply want people to stop complaining and get on with their lives.
